What is included in the DOF Reality platform?

DOF Reality platforms come with the motion simulator frame, mounts for seat or sliding rails, integrated power drive motors, a control unit with USB compatibility (110-240v), SimRacingStudio license, quick assembly tools, and a 1-year full warranty.

It does not come with any accessories (seat, steering wheel, pedals, etc). This product is the frame only.

Will it work with PlayStation and Xbox?

Yes, all motion platforms from DOF Reality are compatible with both PlayStation and Xbox gaming systems.

Do I need a PC for the motion software to work?

While you can use a proxy Windows PC to host the SimRacingStudio (SRS) software, this is not necessary. Instead, you can purchase the MagicBox add-on which hosts the SRS software, gets motion information directly from the console games, and lets you control SRS with your phone or tablet. Just plug the DOF Reality motion platform into the MagicBox and enjoy the console sims. 

What seat should I use with your platform?

Seat choice is a matter of personal preference and almost any bottom-mount car or gaming seat will work with your DOF Reality platform. For general recommendations, we suggest a Bucket Racing Seat (to prevent falling during G-forces) and a lighter seat (so the motion performance will be enhanced). 

For specific recommendations, we suggest the Sparco R100 Seat, Sparco R333 Seat, or Sparco Sprint Seat. Please note that a real, certified racing seats can be quite expensive -- and these are not necessary for racing. A non-certified seat will still work the same way and will generally be cheaper than certified ones. 

The best option for your DOF Platform will be to use a standard bottom mount car seat with sliders/rails (as in a real car). This will provide you with the opportunity for quick adjustments and easy mounting. If you choose a bucket seat, please note that most will require 'side to bottom mounted bracket adapters' and 'sliders.'

Does it come assembled?

No, due to the size of the platform, it does not come assembled. It will ship to you in two boxes to make transporting it inside your home or business easy. A set of quick assembly tools are provided to use.

How does motion cancellation/compensation work with the platforms?

The SimRacingStudio software handles motion cancellation and compensation to ensure smooth and accurate simulation.

What will I get if I order?

You will receive the motion simulator platform frame with all necessary cables and software. Please note that you will need to purchase the seat, steering wheel, pedals, and any controllers or VR Headseats separately.
